"Only You Can Prevent Wildfires"

 

 

Smokey Bear has had a long history serving as a national

symbol of wildfire prevention since 1944. Woodsy Owl came

onboard in 1977 with his slogan “Lend a Hand Care for the Land”

to encourage stewardship and conservation for our environment.

Together, these memorable icons remind us of our role in

protecting our natural resources, wildlife, and public lands.

Southern California Garden Club is one of many garden clubs

in California and in the nation who are involved in the poster

contest entry process. If you are a teacher and are interested in

having your students or your school participate in this project you

can check out the links below to begin the process. SCGC is

available to assist you as best as possible if you have any

the state level, please write in the name SouthernCalifornia Garden Club on the poster sticker where its says

“Garden Club” for each student that participates.
