March 13th
San Fernando Valley District Bus Tour

Join the Southern California Garden Club along with the Costa Verde District of Garden Clubs for a presentation & luncheon.

Meet by 8:15 am for an 8:30 am departure from the Balboa Sports Center in Encino and travel to the

South Coast Botanic Garden.  We will have the honor of walking the grounds of the 87 acres of the worlds first botanical gardens developed over a landfill.

In March the garden will have beautiful blooms of Sapphire Dragon Tree, Queens Tears Bromeliad, Succulents, California Poppies and more!

The bus will depart the botanic garden around 1:30 pm. 

Donation $40.00 (includes bus drivers tip and a small donation to City of Hope and Southern California Garden Club).

San Gabriel Valley Here We Come

The wheels on the bus are rolling again, and we have a fun-filled day of adventure planned. (NGC, CGCI)

Meet by 8:15 am for an 8:30 am departure from the Balboa Sports Center in Encino and travel to

City of Hope in Duarte to visit the Rose, Japanese and Sculpture Gardens.

We will enjoy our lunch (on your own) at The Hat, featuring their World Famous Pastrami Sandwiches since 1951, in Pasadena.

After lunch our final stop will be Nuccio's Nurseries in Altadena.  Growers of rare camellias and azaleas since 1935, this is a place that must be visited before it closes in the near future.

We will return to the Balboa Sports Center around 4:00 pm
